As I have shared in previous blog posts, I am the photographer for a large organic farm in Central Texas. Johnson’s Backyard Garden, mostly referred to as JBG, has been a source of income, taking pictures and delivering veggies, for over 10 years. It was started in the founder's backyard in East Austin and has grown to almost 200 acres outside of town. It’s been a great job and I am very grateful to everyone who works there for all of their hard work and passion to provide high-quality food.
Typically I visit the farm every two weeks to document all the goings-on and to get some fresh air. The images are used for their website, marketing materials, brochures and cards, and of course social media. It seems as though the farm has somewhat of a cult following online and I think some of that can be attributed to their popular hats, but also to the consistently good quality images that people seem to enjoy. It’s nice to be able to show everyone what it looks like and how it works, all year long. So stay tuned every few weeks and I will share some of my favorite images from my most recent visit. Thanks!
